These starting pitchers have been better than advertised and we're expecting each to battle into the latter frames.
Especially with the Yanks Nestor Cortes Jr. (5-1, 1.50 ERA) on the hill. He'll be opposed by Chris Archer (0-2, 3.89.)
Archer is eager for his first win. He limited the Tigers to just one run over five innings in his last outing, but received a no-decision.
Cortes Jr. though has conceded just 38 hits in 60 innings of work this season to go along with a whopping 68 to 14 strikeout-to-walk ratio (he's 2-0 with a 2.92 ERA in three lifetime starts vs. the Twins as well.)
All signs point to this one turning into a "duel." The play is the UNDER.
