The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to bounce back after a tough loss to the Cleveland Guardians last night. The Diamondbacks will go with Zac Gallen on the mound and the Guardians will use Triston McKenzie. Gallen is 5-2 this season with a 3.24 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. He went 5 scoreless innings against the Giants last time out but did not figure in the decision. McKenzie is 7-7 this season with a 3.24 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP. He has been even better in July, posting a 1.34 ERA. The D-Backs rarely collect series wins on the road and have dipped to 11 games below .500 on the road this season. The Guardians are battling for the Division and also a Wildcard spot so evet game matters from here on out. The D-backs have lost six out of their last seven road games. Triston McKenzie made five starts in July and posted a 1.34 ERA. At home, he is 3-1 with a 2.89 ERA. These are the games Cleveland can't afford to lose and it showed last night as they battled back after going down in the tenth to win the game. They should not have to go extra-innings in this one.
