Seattle Mariners play the Cleveland Guardians in game two of their three-game set. Seattle took the first game 6-1 score. Seattle has taken four of the last five against Cleveland. The Mariners are on a 45-19 run. Seattle will send Robbie Ray to the mound for today’s start. He is 11-8 with a 3.58 ERA this season. The Guardians have lost six of their last eight and it is happening at the wrong time of the season as they are in a battle for the AL Central lead. Xzavion Curry is expected to make only his second career MLB start. He went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits against the tigers in his first start. Ray struggled to start the season but has been fantastic over the past several weeks. Ray has a 2.44 ERA with 103 strikeouts to 26 walks over 85 innings since June 12. The Mariners will get to Curry and the Indians just won’t score enough to make up for Curry.
