(NFL) San Francisco vs. Seattle,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -114.00 San Francisco (Away)
Result: Win
The San Francisco 49ers head north to take on NFC West rival the Seattle Seahawks. San Francisco has won six in a row. They will have to finish the season with 3rd string quarterback Brock Purdy as the starter. Seattle has struggled as of late, losing three of the last four. San Francisco should be able to survive Brock Purdy as they have done it all season with their defense and running game. The San Francisco defense is first in points allowed at 15.2, 1st in rushing yards allowed, and 1st in total yards allowed. On the offensive side, San Francisco is putting up 24.4 points a game. Seattle is playing a lot of rookies on defense and the long season is starting to show, as the defense is starting to wear down. They are giving up 25.7 points a game. Seattle is next to last in rushing yards allowed and 18th in passing yards allowed. On the offensive side, they are putting up 26.3 points a game which is sixth in the NFL. As it has been all season the San Francisco defense will determine the outcome of this game. Purdy has done the job under center, mainly because they don't ask him to do a lot, the gameplan has been pretty much the same for him as it was with Jimmy G. Control the ball on the ground and pass when needed. Christian McCaffery should have a big day today and the Seattle defense is giving up a lot of yardage on the ground. Seattle is without Rashard Penny and could be without Kenneth Walker III also which will make them one-dimensional against one of the best defenses in the league. They won't ask Purdy to do a lot but he will do enough to get the win and cover.
