Big East action tips off with the Xavier Musketeers going to the Big Apple to take on the St. John's Red Storm. Xavier is 2-0 in conference play, while St. John's sits at 1-1. St. John's took both games of the series last season. It is always difficult to win on the road in Conference play. Xavier can get the job done here and their offense has a lot of firepower and score down low and from the outside. St. Johns has a stud on the inside in Soriano but the problem is Xavier has two more than capable post players in Nunge and Freemantle. Xavier also has good outside play in Souley Boum and Colby Jones which hampers St. John's ability to pack it in against the Xavier big men. Xavier is 14th in scoring while St. John's is 50th. Xavier has four players averaging at least 14 points a game and they will have too much offense for St. Johns to handle.
