Iowa will play Kentucky in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl. Last season, Kentucky beat Iowa 20-17 as a 3-point favorite in the Citrus Bowl.
Iowa played strong defense all season and it played exceptionally well against mediocre and bad quarterbacks. Kentucky's Will Levis will not be in this game and will be going with a backup quarterback. Iowa held 6 teams to 10 points or less. Iowa is always motivated for bowl games, and why not what else is there in Iowa? Destin Wade will likely get the start for Kentucky and he has not taken a snap this season. Iowa will be going with a backup quarterback as well. Even with their starter, Iowa plays a very conservative offense, using their running game and short passing game and relying on their defense. I think both defenses dominate in this game and there will not be a lot of scoring.
