The Colorado Rockies will play host to the New York t the Mets in the second of a three-game series. The Rockies took game one 6-3. New York will send Paul Blackburn to the mound. The Mets are 10-7 since the break, but they have been producing runs, they need their pitchers to step up. This will be Blackburn’s second start as a Mry. He allowed one run in six innings in his first start with his new team. He has won in three of his last four starts. Colorado has gone 7-9 since the break. Their offense has been bad but their pitching has been worse. Feltner allowed three runs in six innings last time out. He is 0-3 over his last six starts. The Mets took two of three games from the Rockies in mid-July but dropped game one last night. The Rockies have been terrible and have to be thankful the WSOX are worse. The Mets are just a game and a half out of a Wild Card slot. The Mets are 29-24 on the road while the Rockies are 24-29 at home. The Mets cannot afford to lose another game to the Rockies.
