The Boilermakers should win this game outright. The loss to Indiana was the final straw for Matt Painter's team, who beat UCLA by ten and demolished Rutgers in their next two games. They will continue to charge toward the finish line with a victory tonight in Champaign.

Illinois cratered its season with a terrible stretch from Jan. 11 to Feb. 22, going 5-8 straight-up, with no statement wins and losses against all of the "big boys." Double-digit wins over a mid Iowa team and a free-falling Michigan squad in the last two games don't change that narrative.

Purdue is the team to trust tonight, with its veteran guards and experienced coach. Illinois is desperate, but not in a good way...
