This is a FREE PLAY on the UNDER BYU/SMU.

BYU looks to start 2-0 for a fifth straight season, but it's a big underdog here. Last week it hammered Southern Illinois by a score of 41-13, but I believe the Cougars will have a more difficult time moving the ball here on the road.

SMU is 2-0. It opened with a tight 29-24 win at Nevada, unable to cover the massive 27-point spread (and the total going UNDER the number of 55 in that one.)

Then last week the Mustangs hammered Houston Christian 59-7 as a 50.5-point favorite. The total flew OVER the number of 62.5 in that one.

The Cougars are averaging 179 yards per game on the ground led by LJ Martin. The Mustangs are averaging 234.5 YPG so far, led by Brashard Smith.

The defenses have looked sharp for each side in the early going as well.

I think this one will be decided by field position and in the trenches and because of that, I'll recommend a second look at the UNDER as far as the total is concerned in this one.
