Total: 5.00 | 118.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the OVER between the St. Louis Blues and the Buffalo Sabres.
Neither team has been playing to many high-scoring affairs of late, but we feel that the conditions are now right for a shootout and expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. This is the second meeting in four days between the clubs and the Blues have won 17 of 19 in the series dating back to 1999. The Sabres will also be especially motivated here after getting blanked in a 3-0 setback to Dallas on Saturday, the first time that Buffalo has in fact been shutout this year. The Blues beat the Sabres 3-2 in St. Louis on Saturday and have outscored Buffalo 24-7 while taking seven straight in the series. St. Louis goaltender Jake Allen though has been pretty mediocre of late, after opening 7-3-0, he's gone 0-2-1 with a 3.60 GAA in his last four starts. Note that St. Louis has seen the total go OVER the number in five of its eight road games this year when the total is set at five or less, while Buffalo has seen the total sail above the posted number in two of three after a loss by two goals or more in its previous game. Play on the OVER.
