We jumped on this line the moment it came out and got 201, most of you will be able to get a much better one, but regardless, despite these team's having not played to many high-scoring affairs of late, we feel that the conditions are now right for a shootout and look for this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. Chicago is coming off a 92-89 win over the Spurs on Monday and while the total in that game did stay below the posted number, the 92 points scored was still impressive against the league's top defense and was a big step in the right direction after the Bulls' offense had gone sluggish the last few games. Denver has lost seven straight and has been abysmal on the offensive end of the floor, it's coming off its lowest output of the season in Monday's 92-74 loss to Milwaukee, it would turn the ball over a season-high 25 times while getting outscored 52-36 in the paint. But desperation breeds motivation and with the home side also putting an added emphasis onto the offensive end of the floor tonight, pushing the pace from the outset, the visitors will indeed have an opportunity to match that intensity. And note, the Nuggets have in fact seen the total go OVER the number in five of nine this year after a loss by ten points or more and in five of nine vs. teams with winning records, while the Bulls have seen the total sail above the posted number in 10 of their last 18 as a home fav in the 9.5 to 12 points range.
