AAA's Tuesday Boca Raton Bowl SUPER-BLOWOUT!
(NCAAF) Temple vs. Toledo,
Point Spread: 2.50 | -105.00 Toledo (Home)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 2.50 | -105.00 Toledo (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* SUPER-BLOWOUT on Toledo.
Both teams would win ten games each: Temple had victories over Penn State, Cincinnati and Memphis, while also nearly knocking off Notre Dame at home on Halloween night, while Toledo opened the season with a 7-0 start, which included a road win at SEC foe Arkansas. Both teams had high hopes for a spot in a New Year's Six bowl, but with that dream dashed, the Boca Raton Bowl is a solid consolation prize. We made a play on Western Kentucky yesterday and thought that the Hilltoppers depth on the offensive side of the ball would be just too much for the more defensive minded Bulls to overcome, a prediction which would come true as WKU pulled away down the stretch for the comfortable ATS cover. And now on Tuesday we have a similar matchup, as the Owls have a tough defensive front, which will be pitted against an incredibly deep offensive unit of the Rockets. Just like yesterday's reasoning, we believe that with three weeks off to prepare for this one, that Toledo's dominance on the offensive side of the ball will prove to be just too much for Temple to keep up to, a unit which includes a line which has given up just four sacks all year (2nd in the country) and which averages 35.3 PPG. Owls' QB PJ Walker is a true dual threat, but note that the Owls are just 2-3 ATS in their last five when playing with two or more weeks of rest, while Toledo is 2-1 ATS in the same position. Grab as many points as you can with TOLEDO.
