AAA's X-Mas Day 3-GM Report (+$46,508 NBA RUN!)
(NBA) LA Clippers vs. LA Lakers,

Result: Loss
Total: 207.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the OVER between the LA Clippers and the LA Lakers.
Uncharacteristically, neither of these teams has been playing to many high-scoring affairs of late, but we now feel that the conditions are right for a shootout and look for this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. The Clippers have won seven straight in this series. LA has two wins in its last five games, fuelled by veteran Kobe Bryant, who has averaged 23.8 points and 46.2 percent shooting in that stretch. The Clippers have played on Christmas for the past four years straight and have won three of those games. The Clippers though enter this one having lost three straight to Western Conference top dogs, including a 100-99 heartbreaker to Oklahoma City on Monday. Lakers coach Byron Scott summed up the current situation for both teams right now the best: "You talk about two teams that are desperate right now, for different reasons," Scott said. "Their expectations are to try to win a championship this year. I'm pretty sure they're not going to be very happy (Friday). They would love nothing more than to beat us by 40." We believe the desperation in which each team plays with today will translate into production on the court; and note that the Clippers have seen the total go OVER the number in five of six vs. division opponents this year, while the Lakers have seen the total sail above the posted number in two of three this season after scoring 85 points or less and in two of three vs. the division. Play on the OVER.
