I had the Jets last night, and they took care of business at home in a tough matchup versus Montreal. They host a far weaker opponent tonight, with the young Edmonton Oilers in town. The Oilers can be a dangerous opponent if taken lightly, but they have no plans on playing this post-season, and won't bring the same intensity we saw from the Habs last night. My money is on the Jets to bag a much needed two points at home.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Previous History - The Jets have won five of the last six meetings in this series, and all three home games during that span. The Oilers have been cellar dwellers for several years now, and they have been particularly futile on the road, going 16-53 in their last 79 road games.

2. Home Cookin' - The Jets actually have a losing record on home ice, but they have had plenty of success against the league's weaker teams. They are 10-4 in their last 14 home games against teams with a losing road record.

3. X-Factor - With Ondrej Pavelec getting the start last night against Montreal, we should see Michael Hutchison in this second game of a back-to-back. The 26 year old is 3-2 with a 2.71 GAA on home ice. While that's not great, it's significantly better than his road record of 10-4 with a 3.11 GAA.
