ROGERS THURSDAY TRIFECTA (WITH 10* TOTAL!)
(NHL) Edmonton vs. Minnesota,
Money Line: -175.00 Minnesota (Home)
Result: Loss
The Minnesota Wild have their destiny in their own hands, sitting just two points back of the Colorado Avalanche who currently occupy the final playoff spot in the West. The Wild have two games in hand, and they host the last place Edmonton Oilers tonight. My money is on Minnesota to get the job done in a must win game.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Previous History - The Wild have won seven of their last 10 meeting with Edmonton, and four of their last five overall. The Oilers are coming off a home loss to San Jose, getting shutout by a score of 3-0. They rank among the worst in the NHL averaging just 2.4 goals per game this season.

2. Home Cookin' - The Oilers own the NHL's worst road record, going 10-21-4 away from Rexall Place. They have really struggled in previous trips to Minnesota, going a woeful 5-22 in the last 27 meetings in Minnesota.

3. X-Factor - The Oilers have seven players listed as unavailable for tonight's game, most notably Ryan Nudgent-Hopkins. The 22 year old has totaled 30 points in 46 games this season.

Selection: This is a play on the Minnesota Wild (6*)
