Philadelphia Phillies -1.5
(MLB) Philadelphia vs. Cincinnati,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -110.00 Philadelphia (Away)
Result: Loss
I like the Phillies to play well on the road in this one against the Reds. Philadelphia will have Noah Syndergaard on the mound, as he has another chance to carry the Phillies to another W. He is currently (2-0) in Philadelphia, as he has now beaten the Marlins and the Nationals. In his last start, he pitched for 6.0 innings and only allowed two earned runs. He made it very difficult to score and I see him doing the same to the struggling Reds. Cincinnati is scoring the 19th least amount of runs per game and they have the 221st lowest overall team batting average. The Reds have also struggled over the past two weeks, as they do not have it rolling at the plate right now. The Cubs shut them down in their last series, as they couldn’t score enough runs to stay competitive. The Phillies are also scoring the seventh most runs per game, and they are hitting .340 against RHP in their last 10 against LHP. Luckily, they will be going up against Mike Minor, as he has struggled all season. The left-hander is currently (1-9) with a 6.24 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP. His team has lost the last nine games that he has started, as he continues to struggle. In his last start, he pitched for 5.1 innings but gave up four earned runs and two bombs. The Mets lit him up, as everyone is hitting well against him. I expect the Phillies to explode at the plate in this game, as they will cover the spread against the Reds.
