Atlanta Braves -150
(MLB) Atlanta vs. Cincinnati,
Money Line: -150.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Loss
I will be sticking with the Braves on the road in this matchup. They have looked great in the first two games of this series and I see them getting the job done in this one, as well. The braves are currently scoring the ninth most runs per game and they are hitting .248 as a team. This is the 11th highest overall team batting average, as they have shown that they can consistently reach base and drive in runners when they are in scoring position. In the field they are also solid, they are allowing 3.78 runs per game, which is the 11th least amount of runs given up per game. They aren’t going to allow the Reds to consistently reach base enough to score a lot of runs. Cincinnati has struggled at the plate this season, and they have a tough matchup going up against Charlie Morton. He has been solid this season and I think he is ready to get the job done in the final game of this series. Morton has only given up four combined earned runs in his past three starts. The Reds just won’t be able to keep up with the Braves, as Atlanta can score in multiple different ways. They are also hitting the second-most home runs per game. The Reds will be starting Luis Castillo on the mound and I don’t have a ton of faith in him. At home this season, he has gone (1-1) with a 5.14 ERA. That simply just isn’t good enough going up against this tough Atlanta batting lineup. Take the Braves in this one. The Reds are also only scoring the 19th least amount of runs per game and have the 16th highest overall team batting average.
