Chris Archer is 7-19 with a 4.31 ERA in his last 34 starts and the Rays have lost 10 of the last 12 games he has started. Most of Archer's problems stem from ineffective fastball command. He has struggled most in the first inning, posting a 9.95 ERA.


In in last outing Archer allowed five runs and seven hits in six innings after throwing 116 pitches. Baltimore hitters have a collective .802 OPS versus Archer and already this season, the Orioles have tagged Archer for six runs and 15 hits in 11 2/3 innings.
The Rays are second to last in the major leagues with a home batting average of .231 and they have lost seven of their last eight home games.

The Baltimore bats have some very good numbers against Archer and I'll back them as a small dog here on Friday night.
