The Astros Valdez is coming off a career outing going 8 innings against the Redsox - but before that, had given up 17 runs in 12 innings - including 4 homeruns over his last 4 games.
With the Braves having a .321 batting average and a .531 slugging percentage against left-handers in the playoffs plus they get another bat in an AL ballpark, I expect the Braves to go off against Valdez and pick up the win here in game 1 on Tuesday night.
