Iowa State is the second-best defensive team remaining in the field per KenPom, and they absolutely shut down #3 seed Wisconsin as well as #6 seed LSU already in the tourney. While the Hurricanes’ offense rates better than either of those teams, the perimeter defense that allows just 28.7% three point shooting and held Johnny Davis without a three pointer on Sunday is in a prime spot to exploit a Hurricanes team that struggles somewhat from behind the arc (34%).
