5*
(MLB) Cleveland vs. Cincinnati,
Money Line: -103.00 Cincinnati (Home)
Result: Loss
The Reds will send Tyler Mahle to the mound for his second start of the season. Mahle threw five innings without allowing an earned run while striking out seven and throwing 84 pitches in his first outing. He should be fully stretched out now, and he has really found his strikeout stuff over the past two seasons, posting an 11.33 K/9 rate in 2020 and 10.50 K/9 rate in 2021. He had the strikeout stuff working against Atlanta, and he looks poised to be a front-end starter for years to come. I don't expect Bieber to go longer than 5 innings for Cleveland so we have a major edge here with pitching. Cincinnati’s offense managed to put up 19 runs in their first four games and we'll back the Reds on Tuesday night!
