You have two quarterbacks competing for the starting job in Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield for Carolina. Darnold will thrive because he's going against a backup Commanders' defense. Washington is expected to play their starters for the first quarter, so Carson Wentz plays about a quarter. The backup situation is very good with Taylor Heinicke trying to hold off rookie Sam Howell. Heinicke started all year for Washington last season. He's not a good starter, but is a good backup. Expect a lot of points with experienced QBs going up against backup defenses after the first quarter.
