Atlanta swept a three-game set at home from the Nationals last weekend and get a chance to slice into the Mets' edge in the NL East as we head to the All-Star break. Kyle Wright has been solid and is developing into a #2 type of starter that the Braves can use along with Max Fried and Spencer Strider in the postseason. Washington brings back Anibal Sanchez for his season debut and his first outing in the majors since 2020. The Nationals had a doubleheader with the Mariners Wednesday as a result of Tuesday's rainout and that is going to tax a bullpen that has had major issues all season long. Washington struggles to put runs on the board and that's going to be problematic against Wright, who held the Nationals to three runs in seven innings while picking up the win in his last outing. Sanchez struggles, the bullpen falters, and Atlanta opens the series with a victory here.
