Seattle Mariners -134
(MLB) Seattle vs. Texas,
Money Line: -134.00 Seattle (Away)
Result: Win
Seattle won their 11th straight game as they rallied from a 4-0 hole after two innings Thursday night to beat Texas 6-5 in the series opener. Friday night saw the Rangers go to a bullpen type of game as Matt Bush was the opener in the game so that could be telling for the weekend. In this one, Spencer Howard gets the call for the Rangers and he has struggled most of the season. Howard picked up the win in his last start, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits with no walks and one strikeout over five innings in a game the Rangers hung on to win 10-8. With that said, he's got an 8.04 ERA, a 1.66 WHIP and seven homers allowed in 15.2 innings of work. Seattle counters with Logan Gilbert, who is 10-3 with a 2.80 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP, 29 walks and 100 strikeouts over 106 innings this season. Gilbert is rolling right now and is 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA, a 1.033 WHIP, four walks and 28 strikeouts over 30 innings in five career starts against Texas. The Mariners have momentum and they have a major edge on the mound here. This number seems like a free gift as you'd think that the Mariners would be going off at -155 or -160 at minimum.
