Toronto Blue Jays -135
(MLB) Toronto vs. Boston,
Money Line: -135.00 Toronto (Away)
Result: Win
The hope and thought process here is that the Blue Jays didn't use up all their runs for the weekend in Friday's opener as they piled up 25 runs in the opening five innings. By that point, every starter had at least two hits and the Red Sox saw their pitching staff rocked for the third straight game dating back to before the All-Star break. Toronto sends Alek Manoah to the mound here and he's arguably a top-three candidate for the AL Cy Young as the second half of the season starts. He comes in 10-4 with a 2.28 ERA, a 0.959 WHIP, 25 walks and 103 strikeouts over 114.2 innings of work. Manoah is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.92 WHIP, six walks and 22 strikeouts over 25 innings in four career starts against the Red Sox. Kutter Crawford gets the call for the Red Sox and it's hard to have faith in a team that was lit up to the tune of 52 runs over the span of 23 innings. Look for the Blue Jays to get the upper hand here on the road.
