Atlanta Braves -192
(MLB) LA Angels vs. Atlanta,
Money Line: -192.00 Atlanta (Home)
Result: Loss
Atlanta was our pick of the day Saturday and put us right back in the win column as Kyle Wright stifled the Angels en route to a 7-2 victory at Truist Park. In the finale of this series, the Angels hand the ball to Reid Detmers hoping to leave town with a win. He was solid when he threw a no-hitter against the Rays back on May 10 but things have soured since then. Detmers is 0-2 with a 4.38 ERA, a 5.42 FIP ERA, a 1.333 WHIP, 17 walks and 37 strrikeouts over 39 innings in eight starts since. The Angels have dropped all eight of those contests, getting outscored 44-26 in those games. Eleven runs came in one of those outings. On the flip side, Ian Anderson has had his issues this season, posting a 4.79 ERA, but he has recorded an 8-5 record. He's been better in his last three starts heading into the All-Star break, going 2-0 with a 2.30 ERA, eight walks and 13 strikeouts over 15.2 innings of work. Anderson beat the Cardinals and Nationals in that stretch and the Angels are still without Mike Trout for the near future as he is on the IL. Atlanta put up eight and seven runs in the first two games of this series. Look for them to sweep the series with another one-sided beating.
