Tyler Gilbert was supposed to start Monday, when we backed Jakob Junis and the boys from the city by the bay, only to have the Snakes flip late Monday afternoon and go with Merrill Kelly. That threw a lot of things out of whack, including the Giants as Arizona rolled to a 7-0 win. Gilbert will pitch here and that doesn't bode well for Arizona. Gilbert is 0-3 with a 5.34 ERA, a 1.253 WHIP and has given up seven homers in 30.1 innings, helping him to post a 5.92 FIP ERA. He has to face Carlos Rodon, who has been stellar this season filling the cleats of the departed Kevin Gausman. The Giants have dropped five straight coming out of the break but with their backs to the wall and their ace on the mound, you have to give them the advantage in this contest.
