Texas Rangers -150
(MLB) Baltimore vs. Texas,
Money Line: -150.00 Texas (Home)
Result: Loss
Baltimore cruised to a win in the opening game of the series Monday night and had a favorable matchup against Spencer Howard Tuesday. Things get a bit more difficult here as they face the Rangers' All-Star pitcher in Martin Perez. Perez dropped his first two starts of the season but hasn't taken a loss since. He is 9-2 with a 2.52 ERA, a 1.152 WHIP and 107 strikeouts over 125 innings of work. Texas has a good lineup and didn't deal away key pieces at the deadline like the Orioles did. We saw Baltimore send off Trey Mancini to Houston and Jorge Lopez to Minnesota at the deadline, taking two key veterans out of the mix. Kyle Bradish gets the call for the Orioles and, while he's talented, has a long way to go to become an effective major league starter. Bradish is 1-4 with a 7.01 ERA and a 1.695 WHIP over 51.1 innings in 11 starts this season. It's hard to trust him and the Orioles after dealing Mancini and Lopez against a guy that has been on a roll like Perez. Take the Rangers at home.
