Winnipeg Blue Bombers -5.5
(CFL) Winnipeg vs. Montreal,
Point Spread: -5.50 | -110.00 Winnipeg (Away)
Result: Win
While Alouettes owner Gary Stern thinks his team is going to be the one to end the unbeaten run of Winnipeg, the fact remains that they have to prove that they can actually put together a full 60 minutes on both sides of the ball. Montreal is second-worst in the CFL in scoring defense by allowing 27.6 points per game, including three straight games where they gave up at least 33 before last week's 24-17 loss to Hamilton. Meanwhile, the Blue Bombers have the league's best scoring defense as they limit opposing teams to 17.8 points a contest. Sure, Winnipeg is on short rest and they beat Calgary in a clash of Western Conference titans Saturday but the fact remains that the Blue Bombers don't beat themselves. Montreal needs a perfect game to hang in and they don't have it here. Take Winnipeg in the front half of this home-and-home set.
