Calgary Stampeders -5 (-115)
(CFL) Calgary vs. Ottawa,
Point Spread: -5.00 | -115.00 Calgary (Away)
Result: Win
Sure, you can point how the Stampeders were beaten last week while Ottawa got in the win column by dropping East leader Toronto. The fact still remains that Calgary is 4-2 on the year while the RedBlacks are 1-6. Taking a deeper look, the Stamps' two losses are to Winnipeg, who is a sparkling 9-0 after whipping Montreal 35-20 Thursday night with three fourth-quarter touchdowns. Both their losses were by one score to the Blue Bombers, while Ottawa has but one victory. The RedBlacks are 0-3 at home this season and they have to try and slow a Calgary offense that is second in the league in scoring offense at 31.5 points per contest. Ottawa is just sixth in that category at 21.7 ppg and the RedBlacks are a sieve against the pass. Ottawa surrenders better than 301 yards per game through the air this season. Bo Levi Mitchell has to be foaming at the mouth to attack the RedBlacks' secondary. Look for the Stamps to ring up the points and roll to a win to cover the line.
