This series has been a see-saw affair through the first three games.. Texas won the opener 3-2 behind rookie Cole Ragans, making his MLB debut, Thursday night. Chicago bounced back with a 2-1 win on Friday night behind Dylan Cease before Texas got their bats going en route to battering the White Sox in a one-sided victory by the score of 8-0. This one is a matchup of struggling pitchers as Lucas Giolito takes the mound for the White Sox against Spencer Howard for the Rangers. Howard has had all of one good start and that came against the Angels on July 28, when he threw five scoreless frames. He returned to form in his last start, surrendering six runs in four innings in an 8-2 loss to the Orioles Tuesday night. As poorly as Giolito has pitched this season, he's still a better arm than Howard. The White Sox leave town with a split of the series as the Windy City boys batter Howard into submission.
