Atlanta Braves -140
(MLB) Atlanta vs. Boston,
Money Line: -140.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Win
We saw a wild game on Tuesday night as Boston trailed 1-0, led 2-1, trailed 4-2, led 5-4, trailed 6-5, tied the game at six, trailed 7-6, tied the game at seven before running out of magic in a 9-7, 11-inning loss in the opener. Rich Hill went only four innings, meaning Boston had to get seven innings from their bullpen, including five relievers who threw at least 20 pitches. That's going to thin out who the Red Sox can use in high leverage situations here. Kyle Wright gets the call against Boston's Nick Pivetta and Wright has been solid this season. He's racked up 13 wins on the season and the Braves have a deep lineup that is capable of doing damage in a heartbeat, as we saw Tuesday. Nick Pivetta has been up and down this season: currently, he's in a tailspin as he's surrendered 25 runs over 24 innings in his last five starts. That's not the track record you want to back, even at Fenway Park. Give the edge to the Braves.
