Winnipeg Blue Bombers -11
(CFL) Montreal vs. Winnipeg,
Point Spread: -11.00 | -110.00 Winnipeg (Home)
Result: Loss
These teams met last week in Montreal when Alouettes owner Gary Stern said that his team was going to prevail at home while handing the Blue Bombers their first loss of the season. Despite hanging around for three quarters, Montreal ran out of gas in the fourth quarter, getting outscored 21-6 to lose 35-20. Adding insult to injury, their fourth quarter score was in garbage time with the game already decided. To add to that, Eugene Lewis, the CFL's leading receiver, along with both starting running backs (Wes Sutton and Najee Murray) are banged up and are questionable at best for this one. If those guys can't play or are limited, you have to really be concerned about Montreal. As it stands, Winnipeg is the first team in the CFL to open 9-0 since BC did it back in 2005. The Blue Bombers' defense does the job suffocating the Alouettes' offense and that springboards them to a victory here by double digits.
