San Diego cruised to a 10-5 win Friday night despite the off-field bombshell that Fernando Tatis Jr. was suspended for 80 games for a violation of MLB's PED policy. The Padres have scored 30 runs in their last three games, all wins, and the Juan Soto/Josh Bell tandem has started to settle to the heart of the San Diego lineup. Yu Darvish gets the ball here and while his road numbers aren't overwhelming (4-4, 4.37 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 12 BB, 65 K over 68 innings), they're plenty good enough when the Padres are hitting. They'll have plenty of opportunities to do just that in this one as they face Anibal Sanchez, who is 0-5 with a 7.56 ERA and has surrendered eight homers over 25 innings in his five starts this season. Washington has been awful and they are a team in complete disarray right now. Back the Padres on the run line as they pile up another big offensive night.
