Seattle won the opening game of the series Friday night, prevailing 6-2 behind George Kirby. The Mariners now send Marco Gonzales to the hill, who has been up and down this season. The Mariners did welcome Julio Rodriguez back Friday night, adding a critical bat to a lineup that welcomed Mitch Haniger back recently. Dane Dunning has pitched well in his last couple of starts, both Texas victories, but the numbers don't scream confidence in the Rangers. After all, Texas is just 6-15 in Dunning's starts this season and prior to the back-to-back wins in his last two starts, the Rangers had dropped 11 consecutive starts by Dunning. The Rangers are more dangerous offensively on the road than at home and that works in favor of the Mariners in this contest.
