This is a bad matchup for the Reds. If it wasn't bad enough that Cincinnati has sputtered most of the year, they have to face a Philadelphia team that was punched in the face by the Mets over the weekend, scoring a total of two runs in the three games. While they managed to win one game in the set, coming in off back-to-back blankings isn't going to sit well with the Phillies. On the plus side, they get to play as the visiting team, in a hitter-friendly ballpark against a pitcher that has been roughed up on a regular basis this season. Mike Minor is a putrid 1-9 with a 6.24 ERA, a 1.565 WHIP, 28 walks and 54 strikeouts while allowing a massive 18 homers over 62 innings this season. That includes giving up 11 homers in 36 innings at the Great American Ball Park this season. Noah Syndergaard hasn't been elite since coming over from the Angels but facing the Reds, he should get plenty of offensive support. An average outing from Thor is more than enough to propel the Phillies to a needed victory.
