It's Game 1 of the WNBA playoffs and this line just seems a bit high. Sure, Dallas finished the regular season 18-18 but they started the year slow and picked up as the season wore on. The Wings won seven of their final 10 games down the stretch, with two of those losses coming after they had clinched a playoff spot. They may be minus Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally but they've had success without them. The Wings won two of three in the regular season, including a win here back in May. Connecticut was hot as well down the stretch, winning eight of their last 10 games with their two losses each coming by three points to Chicago, one of those in overtime. With that said, a closer look shows three of those wins were over Minnesota and a pair were over a gutted Phoenix squad. Their best win in the stretch was over Seattle and came by only five points. The Sun may well win the game but Dallas is a very live dog here. Take the points and the Wings in the opener.
