New York has gotten things going in the right direction again as they had won three straight heading into Thursday. The Yankees, perhaps more importantly, got their bats heated up as they piled up double-digit runs on the A's in the opening game of this set. JP Sears has pitched well, both for the Yankees and then for the A's after being picked up in the deal that sent Frankie Montas to the Bronx. Meanwhile, Gerrit Cole gets the call for the Yankees and facing an Oakland lineup that struggles to score at home, you have to think he can do the job keeping the A's in check.
