The Mets have taken the first three games of the series, winning 3-1 behind Jacob deGrom Thursday, taking a 7-6 walk-off win Friday and then prevailing 3-0 with David Peterson on the mound Saturday. In this one, the Mets turn their ace, Max Scherzer, who had a couple of rough outings in his last two starts, giving up four runs in each of them. However, he's been stellar at Citi Field, going 4-1 with a 1.71 ERA, a 0.91 WHIP, nine walks and 60 strikeouts over 52.2 innings this season. German Marquez has struggled all season, is 4-5 with a 4.11 ERA on the road and is winless in his last six starts. Colorado is 29th in the majors in runs per game on the road with 3.17 while the Mets are 7th at home with 4.84 runs per contest. Scherzer shuts down the feeble Rockies lineup and the Mets get the victory to sweep the set.
