Best Bet - Calgary Stampeders -13
(CFL) Edmonton vs. Calgary,
Point Spread: -13.00 | -110.00 Calgary (Home)
Result: Loss
Sure, 13 points looks like a lot until you take a deeper look into things. Edmonton is the second worst team in turnover differential in the CFL with a -10 mark in that category. The Elks will also be without star receiver Kenny Lawler, who is expected to miss a few weeks with an ankle injury. Fellow receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux and running back James Wilder Jr. are also out for Edmonton, leaving them minus the majority of their big-time weapons here. Meanwhile, Calgary was edged 31-29 on the road by Winnipeg last week but Jake Maier was good, hitting 23 of 28 for 294 yards and three scores. He's expected to start ahead of Bo Levi Mitchell again. The Stampeders ran the ball well and lead the CFL with an average of 5.8 yards per rush attempt this season. In the most recent meeting this season back in week 3, Calgary steamrolled Edmonton 49-6 as they piled up 470 yards of offense. With the Elks missing so many pieces, you have to back the Stampeders as they roll to a win at home.
