(MLB) Houston vs. Baltimore,
Money Line: -150.00 Houston (Away)
Result: Loss
Baltimore may have won the opening game of the series as they knocked off Justin Verlander, the likely AL Cy Young winner. The Astros send Framber Valdez to the mound in this one and he brings his league-record 26 quality starts to the mound here. Valdez has been terrific, posting a 16-5 record with a 2.57 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, 62 walks and 176 strikeouts over 185.2 innings of work on the year. The Astros have a dangerous lineup and it's hard to shut them down in back-to-back games. That's the task that Dean Kremer faces in this one. While Kremer has been solid enough, going 7-5 with a 3.33 ERA, a 1.272 WHIP, 27 walks and 75 strikeouts over 105.1 innings, facing Houston is a challenge. The Orioles are trying to climb into the playoff picture but dealing with the Astros is too much here. Houston bounces back from Thursday's loss with a vengeance to put this one in the win column.
