Oregon Ducks -17 (-110)
(NCAAF) Stanford vs. Oregon,
Point Spread: -17.00 | -110.00 Oregon (Home)
Result: Win
Oregon started the year as poorly as one could as they were trounced 49-3 by #1 Georgia. Since then, the Ducks offensive attack has barely been slowed as they have piled up 155 points in their last three games, all wins. That included last week's comeback win over Washington State, where they scored 29 fourth-quarter points to win 44-41. Stanford opened the year with an emphatic win over Colgate before getting rung up by USC. Then, after having two weeks to prepare, the Cardinal were boatraced by Washington in a game that wasn't as close as the 40-22 final. Stanford lost EJ Smith for the year as well, taking their top running back out of the mix. Stanford has major issues defensively as they are 89th in total defense (400.3 ypg), 95th in run defense (164 ypg) and 95th in scoring defense (30.3 ppg) this season. Perhaps more galling is the turnover margin as the Cardinal is a -11 in that department with just one takeaway in three games. Oregon is piling up 495 yards of offense per game while ranking 24th in pass offense, 29th in rushing offense and 26th in scoring offense on the year. The Ducks are averaging 6.6 yards per play and that includes the opener against Georgia. Oregon should slice right through the Stanford defense and pick up the win here.
