Best Bet - Denver Broncos -3.5 (-105)
(NFL) Indianapolis vs. Denver,
Point Spread: -3.50 | -105.00 Denver (Home)
Result: Loss
This one is a battle of teams with veteran quarterbacks in new places as the Colts and Broncos have both been disappointing in the first month of the season. Things look bleak for the Colts in this one as star running back Jonathan Taylor is out with an ankle injury. All-Pro linebacker Shaquille (don't call me Darius) Leonard is also out with a concussion, making things more difficult on both sides of the ball for Indianapolis. While Denver lost Javonte Williams for the year with a knee injury, the fact remains that the Broncos still have capable weapons on the offensive side of the ball. Russell Wilson threw for 237 yards and two scores while posting a passer rating of 124.9 in the loss to the Raiders last week. Mike Boone might get more work with Williams out and the fumbling habits of Melvin Gordon. Meanwhile, the combination of Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton make things difficult for the Colts to try and defend. The home crowd and the Colts' struggles on both sides of the ball is too much for Frank Reich's club to overcome. Give the points and take the Broncos in this contest as they climb back above the .500 mark on the season.
