Cleveland Guardians +1.5 (-130)
(MLB) Cleveland vs. NY Yankees,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -130.00 Cleveland (Away)
Result: Loss
Cleveland won their wild card matchup with the Rays, allowing only one run over 24 innings while holding Tampa Bay to a .115 (eight for 79) average in those contests. Sure, the Guardians only scored three runs in the two games but it was enough to get the series victory. Fortunately, Cleveland sends Cal Quantrill to the mound for this one and for whatever reason, they tend to pile up runs when he's on the mound. The Guardians tallied at least five runs in 19 of Quantrill's 32 starts this year. The Yankees may have won four of Gerrit Cole's last five starts but he's been roughed up, posting a 5.22 ERA and a 5.26 FIP ERA while allowing nine homers over 29.1 innings in those outings. New York may be a little shaky here and with Cole getting roughed up of late, the Guardians could win this one outright but we'll play conservative by taking the run line with the visitors.
