San Diego Padres +105
(MLB) San Diego vs. LA Dodgers,
Money Line: 105.00 San Diego (Away)
Result: Loss
The last time we saw Joe Musgrove on the mound, he seemed to hit the wall in the sixth inning against the Phillies and suffered his first loss of the season. That snapped his string of quality starts at 12 and one has to wonder if being activated from the COVID-19 list may have sapped him a bit. He's now had a full complement of rest days to prepare for this contest and squares off with a Dodger team that has seen their rotation depth take massive hits in recent weeks. Without Walker Buehler and Andrew Heaney, not to mention Clayton Kershaw getting back up to speed, it's Mitch White taking the ball here for his sixth start of the year. The Dodgers had their struggles against the Rockies on the road, getting blanked Monday before losing Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's bounceback win. Los Angeles is a deep team but the Padres are no slouches either: where the lineups are even, you have to give the mound edge to Musgrove. He bounces back from his rough outing to give San Diego the edge.
