Kansas has struggled this season as they have dropped six of seven entering this contest. They’ve hung tough but have been unable to come up with the key plays on either side of the ball in critical situations. Five of the Jayhawks’ six losses this season have come by six points or less. The problem for Kansas here is they are facing an Iowa State team that is very stingy on the defensive side of the ball and who is going to be angry after stumbling last week against Texas Tech. One has to think that the Iowa State defense, which has generated 17 takeaways so far this season, will force Kansas into a couple mistakes, leading to points that gives them the victory here.
