This is a true gut check for the Penguins, who played one of the worst games in recent memory Monday night at home against the Stars. Pittsburgh was down 6-0 after the opening period en route to a 7-1 loss. That has Kyle Dubas working the phones trying to figure out a way to fix what ails his team. Fortunately, they get a Detroit team that doesn't do a ton offensively in this contest. The Red Wings are third-worst in the league in goals per game and second-worst in shots per contest. If Pittsburgh can't pull out the win here, it might be time to completely blow this team up. As it stands, the Penguins should skate away with a win here as the Wings continue to disappoint offensively.
