Cal Poly is trying to overhaul their system into being a run and gun team under new coach Mike DeGeorge, who had success with that style down in Division II. Whether that works with the Mustangs remains to be seen but we're banking against it in this one. Seattle lost their leading scorer from a season ago but bring back a bunch of guys from a team that was 222nd in tempo according to KenPom last season while ranking 11th in effective field goal percentage defense (46.1%) and second in defending the three (29.1%) last season. Meanwhile, Cal Poly is 329th in turnover percentage (23.6%) on the young season and they have struggled shooting from inside the arc. This total is at least five points too high, if not more.
