Houston Astros -130
(MLB) Houston vs. LA Angels,
Money Line: -130.00 Houston (Away)
Result: Win
We've talked quite a bit about the Angels' struggles over the past six or seven weeks. After opening the year 27-17, the Angels have gone just 11-32 to drop 11 games below .500 on the season. Los Angeles has been inconsistent to the point where if they get good pitching, they don't hit, and vice versa. Facing the Astros isn't going to help cure what ails the team from the City of Angels. Houston has gone 7-3 against the Angels this season and averages 5.1 runs per game in those contests. Noah Syndergaard has stayed healthy for the most part but he's just 5-7 with a 3.84 ERA, a 1.166 WHIP, 16 walks and 55 strikeouts over 70.1 innings. Not going deep in games puts pressure on the Angels' bullpen, which hasn't been great by any stretch. Houston has run away with the AL West lead and enters this one winners of 11 of their previous 13 games. Luis Garcia has won four straight starts for Houston and beat the Angels back in April. With these teams heading in opposite directions, you have to give the advantage to the Astros in this contest.
