THE INSIDERS ROOM'S 10* THURSDAY NIGHT ATS BLOWOUT (+2,800 ALL PREMIUMS!)
(NCAAF) UAB vs. South Alabama,
Point Spread: 7.50 | -105.00 South Alabama (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* ATS BLOWOUT on South Alabama.

This line opened at -4.5 and it's been bet all the way to -7.5 and that's where I think the value definitely swings to the home dog.

The Jags lost a close one to Tulane, 27-24 two weeks ago. Both teams are coming off losses, as UAB lost 31-14 to Miami.

A major blow to UAB is that starting QB Tyler Johnson III is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. That means that Freshman backup Bryson Lucero is being thrust into the spotlight.

For the season Lucero has completed 11 of his 21 attempts for 138 yards and a TD. In the early going UAB is averaging 29.5 PPG, but that was mainly due to its star QB under center.

And unfortanately the Blazers are conceding 392.5 YPG so far.

QB Desmond Trotter was injured in last week's loss to the Green Wave for the Jaguars, but backup Chance Lovetrich filled in seamlessly, finishing with 247 passing yards and two TD's. Carlos Davis had 82 yards rushing and a TD, while Jalen Tolbert hauled in six passes.

South Alabama is averaging 28 PPG this year, while conceding 24.

The Jags are also 5-0 ATS in their last five at home and 4-1 ATS in their last five "Thursday" games, while the Blazers are a poor 2-7 ATS in their last nine as a road fav of seven or more points.

Tyler Johnson III is out and that's BAD news for the Blazers and GREAT news for Jaguars backers!

Outright upset? Maybe. But in the end, let's grab the points!

Good luck, NP
